The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees has been announced. I know, to many people out there, the RR HOF has all the relevance of a dinosaur exhibit. To others, it's still fun to debate who deserves entrance. Here's the list of nine. Five make it.

If I had a ballot to submit I'd go with original guitar hero Jeff Beck, thrash gods Metallica, rap pioneers Run-D.M.C. and proto-punk monsters The Stooges. Rockabilly queen Wanda Jackson just barely beats out R&B great (and "It's All Over Now" author) Bobby Womack.
