Grousing the other day about how rock shows feature too much standing around and waiting for music, whereas dance shows feature non-stop moving, Special Disco Version's James Murphy and Pat Mahoney --much like they do in LCD Soundsystem-- blend the two together into a new alloy. Tonight, their Wednesday night party hosts post-punk legends Liquid Liquid. The group, rather than press pause on the party, will play two mini-sets when the mood fits them while Murphy and Mahoney man the party platters. Seriously, don't miss this one.
