It's no secret that LA and it's various neighborhoods have long made for tv storyline fodder, but now we young adults living in its north eastern neighborhoods who are actively part of the music scene finally have a show to call our own. Apparently, the WB just started production on a new show called Rockville, CA and it's being filmed at the Echoplex.

So according to a release from the studio, the show is the work of Josh Schwartz, who brought us the OC and Gossip Girl. It follows the lives of a group of 20 somethings working in the music industry and living in Echo Park, and much of the action is focused around the club where a few of them work. You can also expect it to feature "today's hottest bands," including Lykke Li and the Kooks.
No word of a broadcast version yet, and the series is set for an online run of 20 four-minute episodes. Personally I think it'll be funny to see how they portray people who are basically my friends and my hang outs. If they do an episode at the Gold Room I think my head will explode.
