Sea Level - Howlies
For today's Roll Call, we call out Justin Brooke of Howlies.
Who are you?
Hi! My name is Justin Brooke and I play in the alternative rock/adult contemporary band Howlies.
Describe yourself in three words.
Superhuman Guitar Messiah.
Who -- dead or alive -- would most you like to meet?
Keith Richards, dead OR alive.
Who would you most like to slap in the face?
Who's that guy who does the really bad Andrew Earles impression? Jeff something...
What song do you wish you had written?
"Bump N' Grind" by R. Kelly
Elvis Costello or Elvis Presley?
My bandmates will hate me for this, but I gotta say D.E.A. Elvis. That dude knew how to party.
LP, CD or MP3?
LPs, without a doubt. Listening to music on vinyl is a magical, spiritual experience. Everything else is just information-sharing. If you don't believe me, listen to "Waterloo Sunset" on your iPod then listen to it on vinyl. You will cry tears of joy and understanding, but also sadness, because you can't have a turntable in your car.
If you could start one trend, what would it be?
Eyeball-licking.
If you could end one trend, what would it be?
NĂ¼ Rave.
With whom would you most like to play a game of spin the bottle?
Is that a one-on-one game or a group thing? I'm gonna go with the Brazilian National Women's Volleyball Team. That seems like a win/win situation.
